Kobie Flowers teaches at ABA’s first Antitrust Trial Academy

Flowers Keller LLP is pleased to announce that partner Kobie Flowers served as trial faculty at the first American Bar Association (ABA) Antitrust Trial Academy. The ABA held the Academy in connection with the 2026 ABA Antitrust Spring Meeting in Washington, DC.

The Academy was an immersive, skills-based trial program led by federal trial judges and experienced trial attorneys. It gave participants intensive training in a small-group format. Each participant worked with a federal judge and a trial lawyer during a simulated trial.

Held on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, the Academy centered on three trial skills—opening statement, cross-examination, and closing argument. The participants gave mock presentations of these three fundamental skills. The faculty provided battle-tested feedback focused on case theory, narrative development, and the persuasive use of evidence.

Flowers Keller LLP’s participation reflects the firm’s commitment to trial excellence and legal education. As the firm’s mission states, Flowers Keller fights to change a broken criminal legal system through “trials, appeals, impact litigation, teaching, writing, and speaking”—actions consistent with the Academy’s maiden voyage.
